What happens when you try to squat in Wal-Mart, talk smack to female punk vocalist, or busk with a drum kit, full-sized generator and 100-watt guitar amp in the middle of downtown Winnipeg? 

See for yourself on The Laszlo Show, like thousands of others have. It's on YouTube, Facebook, and television on Shaw Winnipeg Channel 9.

I created, produced, and starred in the punk rock influenced, cable-access inspired TV show. It featured interviews, man-on-the-street stunts, and musical performances.

The Challenge:

Create, write, shoot, and cast four episodes of a hilarious television show that appeals to a punk audience but can also resonate with the public at large and get 5,000 views in two months.

The Process:

Over four months I acted in and directed ten shoots with eleven actors and a band in five locations. I completed all four planned episodes, or a total of 29 minutes of content. I also promoted the show with Facebook ads, Reddit, and a live screening and concert.

The results:

On Facebook, my show got 3,400 organic views, 15,000 impressions, and 300 followers. On YouTube, it garnered 3,700 views and 130 subscribers. Also, Shaw Channel 9 Winnipeg is still broadcasting all four episodes.
