Mock Client Vids
Mock Client vids
In college, I teamed-up with other students and pretended to work for clients, often with briefings from real-live creative directors who worked for real-live agencies. Together, we wrote, casted, shot, and edited a few projects. Check out two below.
Nobody counts the number of ads you run; they just remember the impression you make.

Futurpreneur - Mock Campaign
The Challenge:
The robots are coming! Okay, not in a Terminator or Matrix way, but many estimates say a good chunk of jobs will be lost to automation in the very-near future.
Futurpreneur wanted to own the conversation about that by driving audiences to its microsite, workischanging.ca. My team and I created this mock video ad to be an online and TV touchpoint along with the rest of our mock campaign, which included a publicity idea, billboards, and digital ads to get people to the microsite.
The Process:
I co-wrote and co-directed this commercial (script here) imbued with the same tone as the rest of our campaign: grimness tempered with humour to entice people to visit the microsite.
The Results:
Our focus group (okay, it was actually just an in-class screening) watched in tense silence and the agency we created the mock campaign for picked it as one of their favourites. Win-win, I'd say.
letgo - explainer
***This video is still kind of in limbo. I'll be posting it soon!***
The Challenge:
We all have junk we hold on to that we know we should just, well, let go of. Our goal was to show consumers how easy it is to use letgo, a classified app that makes it easy for people to sell those random odds and ends that seem to collect in everyone's home.
the process:
My partner and I tried to stay consistent with letgo's other video executions. We used bright colours and a simple, humourous, relatable premise to show the audience how easy it is to use the app.
The Results:
Our classmates lol'd (IRL) during an in-class screening and our instructors gave us good marks — a success in my books.
